Fly Safe, Fly Smart, Follow CASA Rules!

29-03-2024

If you're new to the drone world or need a quick refresher, here's what you need to know to keep the skies friendly:

  • Respect Personal Space: Never fly over people, including crowds at festivals, sporting events, or busy beaches and roads.

  • Distance Matters: Keep your drone at least 30 meters away from others, unless they're involved in controlling or navigating it.

  • One at a Time: Only fly one drone at a time, capped at 120m high (that's about the length of a football field!).

  • Avoid Airports: Stay clear of major airports and follow specific guidelines for flying near smaller aerodromes or helicopter landing sites.

  • Daylight Only: Drones aren't nocturnal. Fly during daylight hours and keep your drone within your visual line of sight.

  • Emergency Zones Off-Limits: Never fly over or near areas of public safety concern or where emergency operations are in progress.

Violating these rules can lead to fines or even court action. But more importantly, it's about keeping everyone safe and enjoying the thrill of drone flying without any hiccups. Let's make the skies a safe place for all this Easter! Enjoy your flight, but remember to stay within the guidelines and have lots of fun. We wishes everyone a fantastic Easter break filled with adventure, laughter, and safe drone flying.
